Hello

I was on such a roll creating and then I came to a halt....no sure why...guess it just happens sometimes. This background sat on my desk for days...then I challenged myself to use up previously made items that never made it to a card, and it finally came together. I guess I was in a rush to finish it, because after I glued down the butterfly and sentiment I realized I had thought to stamp a design on the blue cut out :( Anyway..so happy to have a card to share today :)

I decided to play along with the challenge over at the Impression-Obsession blog: Red, White and Blue Challenge. I used a very versatile stamp by them... CR006 Honeycomb. I am sure you know by now how I coloured it in LOL. The image was embossed with white embossing powder and then I coloured in the combs with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers, and then spritzed with a water mixture and Perfect Pearls....yes I am still in LOVE with them...LOVE how they easily wipe off the embossed image as you can see here:

The sentiment is a sticker from SRM. The die cuts are from Papertry Ink.

Hope you have a fantastic day! Hugs, TRace

Thinking of you

Good afternoon! It has been a rainy morning here in Muskoka....so I had an excuse to hit the craft room :) and make this card:

Here is a close-up to show the variegated look you get when you spritz the coloured image with water and Perfect Pearls mixture.......what you can't see today is the shimmer :(

Yesterday I was cleaning up in the front garden and took this picture. You can see I used it for inspiration for my card:) I should try and do this more often!

I am going to enter this card in a couple of challenges... CASE Study Challenge #94 is showcasing one of my favorite card makers...Joy Taylor. Here is her beautiful inspiration card:

I am also going to enter it into this months Hero Arts Challenge

Thanks for stopping by to visit....have a great weekend! Hugs, TRace

Thinking of you!

Good day all!  I am back with another card where the background stamp is embossed with white embossing powder, then coloured in with Tim Holtz Distress markers and then spritzed with a Perfect Pearls and water mixture....pure magic in my opinion :)

This background stamp is from Impression-Obsession and I LOVE it!! It is called Circle Fusion 2 (CROO2)... Impression-Obsession has the most amazing background stamps, and you all know how I LOVE my background stamps :)....you can check them out HERE. The sentiment is a sticker from SRM.

Just a close-up to show how the shimmer is soooo pretty in real life :)
Impression-Obsession has a challenge going on right now: "By the Sea"....so of course you can see I choose "sea" related colours. You can check out the challenge HERE.
Thanks for stopping by to visit and have a fantastic day! hugs, TRace
